That time of year again, Cannot believe one year has passed
already. Last year was a great success so it seems we are back on
track. Bring out the kid's and grandma too. It's our way of saying
thank you for your business.
So mark your calendar for a great day in the community. Lots of
freebees and things going on.
Petfare a year already.
Have to admit it caught me by surprise when Annette told me we
had been in our new location for a year. The new location is much
brighter and lots more traffic. Great Bakery, Dollar Store and the
Buy-Low grocery store. What a great mix of merchants.
New Banners.
The Brookswood merchants association have ordered some new
banners for the lamp standards. Should be in place for the summer to
make the place look attractive.
Sad News.
Sad to report that Brookswood Hardware has closed it's doors for
ever. The hardware store was a landmark in the Brookswood area, and
had served the community for over 40 years. Seems the landlord is
going to pull the Mall down and build a 18000 square foot 24 hour
Shoppers. My question is why? we need a big box store in Brookswood
like a hole in the head. Council has just spent a bunch of money in
the area to make it horse friendly. Even added murals of the old
Brookswood to strengthen the community feeling.
Flash
Brookswood Rentals on 208th will be carrying a line of
hardware for sale. Picking up the slack from Home Hardware
leaving.
Healthy
Riverside Insurance moved a few years ago, have you been in
to see them lately. I believe they are now a part of the
group under Envision.
